Winter is coming and I enjoy catching a bit of something on TV when I am unable or unwilling to leave home.  I am not an avid TV consumer and I would rather enjoy a book (Sci-Fi and Fantasy, please). event though I do love a good travel planning book for ideas, there are time I like to watch the landscapes and interactions with the landscapes.  I have compiled a few ideas for you.

There are many great travel films that can inspire wanderlust and transport you to different parts of the world. Here are some popular and highly regarded travel films:

“Eat Pray Love” (2010) – Based on the memoir by Elizabeth Gilbert, this film follows a woman’s journey of self-discovery as she travels to Italy, India, and Bali.

“The Motorcycle Diaries” (2004) – This biographical film tells the story of a young Che Guevara as he embarks on a transformative motorcycle trip across South America.

“Lost in Translation” (2003) – Set in Tokyo, this film explores the connection between two strangers, played by Bill Murray and Scarlett Johansson, as they navigate the city and its culture.

    3. “Street Food” – Also on Netflix, this series focuses on street food vendors in various cities, highlighting the local flavors and cultural significance of street food.
    4. “No Reservations” – Hosted by Anthony Bourdain, this show takes viewers on a global culinary journey, exploring lesser-known destinations and immersing in local food cultures.

    7. “Somebody Feed Phil” – Phil Rosenthal, the creator of “Everybody Loves Raymond,” travels the world to experience different cuisines and connect with locals through food.  Another absolute love of mine and yes, I have gone to some of his spots.
